The full moon festival in Libra refers to the full moon that occurs each year during the sun sign of Libra, between September 21and October 22 (dates given are approximate, depending on the exact position of the sun in the particular cycle), wherever it may fall.

And in the somewhat rare event, as in 2010, that there are two full moons during the period when the sun is in the sign Libra, the first full moon is generally considered to be the more potent of the two and would be the one dedicated to the Festival.

In 2010, the first Libra~Aries full moon occurs Thursday, September 23, and the second full moon in Libra~Aries is on Friday, October 22.
