International Forgiveness Day ~ August 3

All the world’s major religions, with their emphasis on love, compassion, patience,
tolerance, and forgiveness can and do promote inner values. But the reality of the
world today is that grounding ethics in religion is no longer adequate. This is why
I am increasingly convinced that the time has come to find a way of thinking
about spirituality and ethics beyond religion altogether.

Forgiveness ~ Quotes, Insights, Resources

The first Sunday in August each year is designated as International Forgiveness Day. At 7pm this evening, the Worldwide Forgiveness Alliance will celebrate the 18th International Forgiveness Day with a live event at Dominican College in San Rafael also available as an online broadcast.

Forgiveness is clearly essential to any lasting Peace on Earth.

For International Forgiveness Day to take place while the fighting in Gaza is at an impasse for the current 72-hour ceasefire offers a ray of Hope.

Wiping the slate clean of blame truly helps evolve situations, relationships, and conflicts into a new, fresh start in present time.

May our sincere and heartfelt efforts on the inner planes and in our immediate environment send ripples of great magnitude to all suffering people and those places where disparate polarities are rampant.
