Night
Sky Visitors ...
After reaching a decade milestone
of producing the
Night Sky pages online, I received
an intuitive message to take a one-year sabbatical in 2011. This
is a time to rest and recuperate, study more about the
heavens, spend time with friends and increase my income.
In this abbreviated edition of
Moon Dances, I offer the following to keep
you looking up and tuned to the wonders
above.
Enjoy! Susan Sun
Look
Up! The Moon, waxing
and waning, impressively
promenades across the dark sky, partnering with the sparkling stars
and glowing planets. Who is the
Moon dancing with tonight?

Note: When
the right side of the Moon is illuminated, the Moon is increasing
or waxing. When the left side illuminated, the Moon is decreasing
or waning. (Of course, this only works in the Northern Hemisphere.
In the Southern Hemisphere the effect is just the opposite!)

A New Lunar Cycle Begins

Solar Eclipse
This
partial
solar eclipse is visible from much of Europe, North Africa
and central Asia. Animated
Eclipse ~ Mechanics
of Solar Eclipses ~ Eclipse Frequency
Solar
eclipses offer opportunity to redefine concepts of self and the roles
we play, or how we articulate ourselves in the
world. They are about shifting octaves in the nature of our self-perception
and self-expression. They often mark a new beginning or way of life,
or a new way of participating in life.
This
Solar eclipse is counter part to the previous Solstice Total
Lunar Eclipse, which was about letting go of emotional attachments
to ways
of participating in the world or with others that no longer serve
us. This solar eclipse is more about going forward from attachments
left behind, with a new sense of self to pursue our ideals, dreams
and goals. Nick Fiorenza 1/4/11 Lunar Cycle
Reflections
~ New Moon
The
New Moon takes place in the constellation of Sagittarius
the Archer,
on the arm of the Archer holding, aiming the arrow toward the Heart
of our Milky Way Galaxy, the Galactic Center.
...
our Sagittarian Centaur, is where the first and highest spiritual
light is found, our Galactic City of Light, and is responsible for
the higher
spiritual education of all intelligent life on Earth ... Sagittarius
inspires action to live our deeper inner truths, to express that
truth through
an undaunted Zen focus to hit our target, to achieve our highest
ideals and dreams. The Sagittarian Archer is self-taught, of spiritual
wisdom
gained through raw experience ... This Lunar Cycle embodies the
pure and total potential of the archer applied through focused demonstrable
action. Nick

Note: Jupiter
and Uranus exactly conjoin a few hours after
the New Moon partial solar eclipse, at 4:52am PST (12:52 UT). Early
January Finder Chart This marks the last in a series of three
Jupiter / Uranus conjunctions: 6/8/10, 9/18/10, 1/4/11.
This
is a time of accepting uncertainty and opening to new awareness.
It's not about feeling ready, life prompts us, even pushes us.
There may be an emergency where we respond with our reflexes. We
may be surprised with new opportunities for growth that take us
beyond our imagination. We are called to be authentic to our own
vital core, rather than depending on external security. It is time
for us to take the initiative, to be courageous and bold, to step
out, to step up and to make a difference. Jacqueline

1/2/11
Jupiter
and Uranus make their third and final conjunction opposite Juno,
asteroid of covenant partnerships, and Makemake [*],
one of our recently discovered planets ... Juno's retrograde conjoining
Makemake
may herald a change in partnerships, especially involving financial
matters and their management ... A primary shift occurs in this lunar
cycle as the very tight aspects between Jupiter, Uranus, Makemake,
Neptune and Chiron now start to diverge, creating a refreshing
sense of emergence from what has been a rather heavy period that
began in mid-2008, and which had spawned the last few years of
financial upheaval. Nick
